Amphibiox from Geox – A New Generation of Waterproof Shoes

We want to tip you off about a new generation of shoes from Geox. Amphibiox shoes are designed for urban environments in a modern design, built to handle the toughest conditions.

When testing the models, they were taken to the rainiest place on Earth: Cherrapunjee, India. Geox recruited four people via their Facebook page – Swiss photographer Claudia; tour guide Andrea from Venice; David, a lawyer from Spain; and Rob, an English snowboarder – who tested the new AMPHIBIOX collection for a week, with the premise that if the shoes could withstand the rain in Cherrapunjee, where annual rainfall is 11,000 mm, far from their usual urban environment, they could endure just about anything.

Unlike traditional waterproof shoes where the waterproof membrane resembles a sock-like inner lining, Geox has attached the membrane directly to the inside of the outer shell – a new technology that contributes to total waterproofness and unparalleled breathability.
