A Bivy Sack for Those Who Want to Sleep Solo
The Outdoor Research Advanced Bivy combines a three-layer Gore-Tex shell, waterproof floor, and optional pole system for solo nights outdoors.
The Advanced Bivy™ is a practical bivy sack that can be used instead of a tent. Its waterproof shell provides weather protection around your sleeping bag.
This model is somewhat larger than many other bivy sacks, providing more room for thicker sleeping pads and bigger sleeping bags. A patented Pole System can be used for increased ventilation and headroom, or left at home to minimize weight and packed size. It weighs only 1.1 kg (964 g without the Pole System) and has a packed size of approximately 39 x 10 x 10 cm.
The Advanced Bivy™ is made from 3-layer GORE-TEX®, making it breathable and minimizing condensation. It has a durable waterproof nylon floor treated with Hydroseal®, and all seams are taped.
There is a removable mosquito net to keep insects out when you want to sleep with the opening exposed. Inside the sack, there’s a pocket perfect for storing gear or electronics. There are also plenty of loops for attaching stakes and guylines.
