Today we publish news so fresh it’s barely become official yet. It was confirmed today that Devold has secured New Element as their distributor in Sweden – a deal that was struck just hours before parts of I Love Outdoor’s editorial team visited New Element.

Devold of Norway is a heritage company founded in 1853. The company’s collection, consisting of everything from socks, underwear, mid-layers, and hats, is manufactured in their own factory using high-quality wool as the base material.

During our visit, we got to try the Thermo Jacket mid-layer shown in the main image. The jacket in substantial wool that still feels soft against the skin had an excellent fit, with thumb holes that prevent the sleeves from riding up under the jacket. The jacket comes in several colors, but the blue-turquoise color we tried was a real standout. The Multi Sport T-shirt shown in the last image was scrutinized at the seams, and the seams were truly substantial. The six-millimeter flatlock seams make this an extremely durable workhorse for high-intensity activities.

Swedish pricing hasn’t been set yet, but very competitive prices are promised, and the products will hopefully start appearing in stores in the near future.

Visit www.devold.com to see the full range, which looks very promising.
