Garmin, the world leader in satellite navigation, now presents Forerunner 910XT – the first GPS for multisport that offers specific swimming functions as well as distance, speed, pace, elevation, and heart rate for running and cycling.

The Forerunner 910XT has a large, easy-to-read display and a battery life of a full 20 hours, yet a slim design that lets you keep it on your wrist when quick outfit changes are needed. It’s also waterproof down to 50 meters.

This unique watch provides accurate data from your swimming as well as distance, speed, elevation, and real-time heart rate data when cycling and running, helping you maintain the right pace when participating in triathlon or other multisport competitions. The Forerunner 910XT will follow, motivate, and guide you through every stroke, pedal turn, and step on your way, making this the most complete training watch ever.

The swimming functions are special. The Forerunner 910XT is Garmin’s first training watch that can measure swimming distance, stroke count, efficiency, and pace. It also measures your SWOLF score, which is the time for one length plus the number of strokes for that length. It’s a benchmark for how efficiently you swim.

Sometimes it can be difficult to hear when the watch beeps. That’s why the Forerunner 910XT has a vibration alert for heart rate, pace, speed, and distance. Smart, we think.

The Forerunner 910XT will be available in mid-November 2011 at a recommended price of 3,995 SEK.
