Geomate Jr is a small, colorful handheld GPS for under 1,000 SEK where simple instructions like “Go outside” and “Turn on” are all that’s needed to get the adventure going. The screen is clear and immediately shows an arrow with the distance to the nearest geocache at startup.

It can also provide clues about the hiding spot, such as “under a stone,” “high up in a tree,” or “at the bottom of a lake.” With Geomate Jr, you can also get tips about the size, terrain, and difficulty level of the cache.

With only three buttons, you can access functions that show the number of found caches, compass, and how to “find home.” It also displays values for longitude, latitude, and altitude.

Geomate Jr comes preloaded with approximately 200,000 caches hidden in Europe. If you want to search for more caches elsewhere in the world, you need to purchase a USB cable for a full 450 SEK, but can then download and transfer more from www.geocaching.com. Additionally, through the data connection, you can personalize the GPS with your own settings.
