Binoculars and Portable Power from Brunton

Brunton’s history began back in 1894 when inventor D.W. Brunton launched the Pocket Transit precision compass as an alternative to the bulky measurement equipment of the day. Much has happened since then, and Brunton is now a leader in optics, portable power supply, and advanced compasses and measuring instruments.

Brunton has divided their binoculars into three different series. Epoch is the top series, Eterna is mid-range, and Echo is the company’s entry-level line. The Epoch models are available as full-size binoculars (RRP SEK 14,950) and compact binoculars (RRP SEK 7,950–8,450). The full-size model uses high-quality glass and is the only manufacturer in the world using SF glass in binoculars. The compact version fits in your pocket and has inherited many features from its big brother.

The Eterna can be classed as an entry-level birding binocular and is priced at SEK 3,250–6,650 depending on the model. The prism glass is treated with the Emerald Fire multicoating, which provides very good image quality.

The Echo comes in six different versions and costs between SEK 800 and SEK 3,500. According to Brunton themselves, this is the basic binocular that impresses even the professionals, as it has features never before found in this segment.

Beyond the binoculars, there’s also a wide range of portable power supplies. Either via rechargeable battery packs, solar energy, or a combination of the two. The Power Storage series can be charged with the company’s solar panels, in the car, or at home and comes in three different sizes. The smallest model is shown in the second-to-last image and costs SEK 575, weighs 120 grams, and has enough power to charge your mobile phone. Among the solar panels, we find the Solaris series that folds up for easy transport and the very thin Solarroll series that can be rolled up. Solaris comes in five sizes, the largest measuring 62” and the smallest – equipped with USB – being 47 cm long. Prices range from SEK 1,450 to SEK 12,500. Solarroll comes in three sizes and costs between SEK 3,500 and SEK 6,500.
