Nalgene Multi Drink – A New Workhorse

The Nalgene Multi Drink is the bottle that gives you the choice of how you want to drink your water – via a straw function, a smaller PET-bottle-sized opening, or without the Multi Drink lid altogether.

The Multi Drink has been my companion for a couple of weeks. The old and very worn Nalgene bottle that served me faithfully for almost too many years has been retired to the closet and, as things stand, won’t be brought out again except in dire emergencies.

The bottle holds approximately 6 dl (20 oz), is BPA-free, and comes in several colors. What makes the Multi Drink special is the lid design, which gives you the option of either quenching your thirst via the straw function or via the screw cap on top. The straw mechanism has a locking function that prevents the nozzle from popping out. Drinking from the slightly larger opening quenches thirst faster, but so far the straw has been used most frequently.

If neither of those options will do, simply unscrew the entire lid and drink just like from a traditional Nalgene bottle.

The downside I’ve found is that when the lid is unscrewed, nothing keeps it attached, so you could lose it.

A very nice product that comes warmly recommended.
