Icebreaker Realfleece 260 adds a lighter warm layer
For autumn 2011, Icebreaker introduced Realfleece 260, a thinner merino alternative to Realfleece 320 in six men’s and women’s styles.
For autumn 2011, New Zealand company Icebreaker introduced Realfleece 260 as a thinner companion to its existing Realfleece 320. Made from 100% merino wool, it was designed as a breathable, insulating midlayer and an alternative to synthetic fleece.
The fabric’s brushed interior created air pockets to retain warmth close to the body, while its smooth, soft exterior helped resist wind. Details included exposed seams, interior patterns and practical pockets for small items. Icebreaker suggested wearing it over a Bodyfit base layer in winter.
Men’s models were the Sierra Half Zip, Sierra Full Zip and Sierra Hood. Women’s versions were named Cascade Half Zip, Cascade Full Zip and Cascade Hood.
Women’s colors were black, gray, cerise and plum; men’s were black, taupe, blue and burgundy.
