Outdoorians launches with a merino polo shirt
The Swedish brand’s first collection in 2015 centered on a black polo made with fine New Zealand merino wool.

Outdoorians launched in 2015 as a Swedish clothing brand aiming to combine outdoor comfort with everyday style. Its first product was a versatile merino-wool polo shirt.
“We were missing a shirt that looked good and offered the comfort and performance needed for activities such as hiking. Merino wool was an obvious choice from the start. Our aim was to create a garment we wanted to wear ourselves,” said co-founder Christian Borg.
The company highlighted merino’s fine fibers and claimed advantages in odor resistance, warmth, drying and softness compared with conventional wool and other materials. Its product used New Zealand merino with a stated fiber diameter of 18.9 microns.
“We chose to start with a simple black polo. It works indoors, outdoors and at work, as well as on a summit outing. You do not have to dress down when you go out into nature,” Borg added.
The first collection was offered through the brand’s online shop at www.outdoorians.tictail.com. This link and the availability described here belong to the original 2015 launch.
