Platypus SoftBottle: a flexible lightweight bottle
The collapsible design took up less pack space when empty, with launch-era prices starting around SEK 130.
Carrying water matters outdoors, but a rigid bottle continues to occupy the same space after it is empty. Platypus’s SoftBottle offered a lightweight alternative that could be rolled up when no longer needed.
Its flexible shape fitted bottle holders, pockets and the hand, helping make better use of limited pack space.
In the original 2010 product information, Platypus offered its Clean-Taste Guarantee and stated that the bottles contained no BPA.
SoftBottle and Platy Bottle models were available through outdoor retailers, with prices starting at approximately SEK 130.
