Salomon adds the XR Mission CS for fall and winter running
The XR Mission CS announcement added Climashield protection to Salomon’s mixed-terrain running shoe for November 2012.

Salomon launched the XR Mission in spring 2012 as a lightweight, flexible shoe for medium-distance training on mixed surfaces. The fully cushioned design suited both pavement and forest trails. The new XR Mission CS, or Climashield, added protection from rain, mud and cold for wetter fall and winter runs.
Men’s and women’s versions were available, with the women’s model incorporating numerous details developed around women’s feet and running mechanics.
The XR Mission used a ventilated mesh upper. Salomon’s Quicklace system offered straightforward tightening and even pressure across the foot. An OS Tendon in the outsole was designed to support energy transfer through the stride, while Sensiflex across the forefoot provided room without sacrificing hold.
Men’s colors were Moab Orange and Autobahn; the women’s version came in Black/Fancy Pink. Store availability was scheduled for November 2012.
