Therm-a-Rest previews the NeoAir Reflect
The 2011 NeoAir Reflect announcement introduced reflective insulation and a cellular structure for year-round use.
Following the lightweight NeoAir and NeoAir Trekker, Therm-a-Rest announced the NeoAir Reflect in 2011.
Unveiled at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in the US in late January, it was due to make its European debut at ISPO in February, with availability scheduled for July. Cascade Designs also called it the all-season NeoAir in its press materials.
A Reflective Barrier was designed to reduce heat loss to the ground and reflect body heat back toward the sleeper. The Triangular Core Matrix created hundreds of individual cells to stabilize the mattress and limit movement of warmed air. The manufacturer claimed this made the Reflect up to five times warmer than other air mattresses without down or synthetic insulation.
The mattress could be inflated by mouth or with a Therm-a-Rest Air Tap Pump. The original article referred to further images showing that pump alongside the NeoAir and NeoAir Trekker; those images are not present in the preserved source.
