Vaude Daytour: a ski-touring pack with practical safety storage

Vaude presented the Daytour in 2010 with practical features for ski touring, emphasizing comfort and access to safety equipment.
Winter summit tours involve avalanche hazards and careful preparation. The close-fitting Daytour 24 aimed to allow freedom of movement, with a front compartment for a shovel and avalanche probe. This kept the tools accessible and prevented them from moving around during the ascent or descent. Emergency-signaling instructions were printed inside.
Skis could be attached to the sides or front of the pack. To reach extra clothing or food, the pack could be laid front-side down and opened through its back panel. This helped keep the carrying system dry and worked even with skis attached at the sides.
The Daytour range was announced in 24- and 30-liter sizes.
