Three products take different approaches to reducing bulk, carrying equipment and organizing camp. The details below come from the manufacturers.
Exped Ultra 6.5R
Exped lists the Ultra 6.5R as a four-season mat with an ASTM R-value of 6.9. Its Synmat Plus construction combines synthetic microfiber insulation with reflective foil. A pump bag is supplied. Gossamer Gear Mirage 40
The Mirage 40 uses ALUULA Graflyte fabric and a carbon-fiber X-frame. Gossamer Gear’s December 2025 introduction listed the framed pack at 19.4 oz, approximately 550 g. RUX Duffel Box
The RUX Duffel Box uses a wide, segmented roll-top opening and integrates with the brand’s packing accessories. Offered in 55- and 75-liter sizes, it is a soft carrying system with structured organization, distinct from RUX’s rigid gear boxes. RUX’s design overview.
