Marmot Up Track Jacket for high-intensity activity
The 2010 softshell focused on breathability and movement for climbing, cycling, ski touring and cross-country skiing.
Marmot introduced the Up Track Jacket in 2010 for year-round, high-intensity activities where breathability was a priority. It belonged to the m3 range, aimed at sports such as climbing, cycling, ski touring and cross-country skiing.
The softshell was described as windproof and water-repellent, offering protection during brief showers and gusts.
The men’s version had two large pockets positioned for access while wearing a backpack, plus external and internal chest pockets. The women’s version shared the two large pockets but had only an internal chest pocket. All exterior zippers were water-resistant.
Marmot’s Angel-Wing Movement design allowed the arms to move without pulling the jacket upward. The hood adjusted in two directions.
We tried the jacket during a visit to Granitbiten and found that its fit and very stretchy fabric allowed excellent freedom of movement. At a recommended SEK 1,700, we considered it good value.
The women’s version came in XS–XL in Dark Violet, Cardinal and Green Olive. The men’s version came in S–XL in Black, Vapor Blue and Cayenne. It was offered through outdoor retailers.
