16 School Classes Get a Free Day on the Slopes
Svenskt Sportforum and its partners have selected the 2015 winners of the outdoor day scholarship. 16 classes across Sweden will enjoy a day on the slopes with everything included.
Svenskt Sportforum and its partners have selected the 2015 winners of the outdoor day scholarship. This means 16 classes across Sweden get a day outdoors with everything included: bus transportation, lift passes, and ski rentals.
Svenskt Sportforum and its partners have for eight years been awarding outdoor day scholarships to schools, giving them the chance to treat their students to a ski trip at a nearby ski resort. This year, hundreds of students will once again get to ski thanks to this initiative. The following classes are this year’s scholarship recipients:

– This is one of the most rewarding things all year – when we get to give schoolchildren the opportunity to try skiing, many for the very first time, says Claes Forsberg, CEO of Svenskt Sportforum, which is the initiator and organizer of the Outdoor Day Scholarship. We wish of course that we could give all the classes that applied a chance – there is a great need for more resources for outdoor days in schools across the country.
Svenskt Sportforum awards the scholarship in cooperation with several of its member companies, SLAO (the Swedish Ski Lift Operators’ Organization), SkiStar, and the Swedish Physical Education Teachers’ Association. This year, 140 classes applied and a jury then selected 16 winners. The jury consists of representatives from ski suppliers, Svenskt Sportforum, Svenska Skidanläggningar, and the Swedish Physical Education Teachers’ Association.
