Kläppen’s Snow Park has been ranked as Sweden’s best for over a decade. They have hosted everything from Olympic training camps to World Championships in snowboard and freeski. The park is easy to get to and has its own fast anchor lift that gives riders plenty of runs in a day. These are just a few of the aces up their sleeve.
The secret behind Kläppen’s popular Snow Park is that the pros themselves build and shape the park. Ashley Lawrence is the designer and the brain behind the park. Ashley is originally from Australia and started working at Kläppen in 2010. He has worked with snow park design for nearly 10 years. Everything is carefully thought out, from rails and jumps to soft landings. Ashley knows exactly what riders want in the park and always aims to bring something new and surprising each season. He has a huge area to work with for his ideas – the size of 14 football fields, to be exact. Kläppen is also the only resort in Sweden with its 120-meter-long halfpipe.
For most guests, it’s an impressive spectacle that unfolds on the ride up in the chairlift, and you truly have a front-row seat. The music thumps in sync with the riders’ performances. Hard not to be impressed.
