As usual, the outdoor products of the year were selected at Äventyrsmässan (the Adventure Fair). The winners were the customizable kayak kit Martini from Point 65 and Gränslösa Resor’s women’s trek in Nepal.

Participants competed in two categories: Best Equipment and Best Experience of the fair.

The winner in the Equipment category was the Martini kayak kit from Point 65. The jury’s motivation read:

“An innovative product that can attract a new category of outdoor enthusiasts to the water. Stable and safe, easily adapted to the number of family members. Perhaps not for the experienced paddler, but absolutely for the family that wants to have fun on the water this summer.”

The winner in the Experience category was Gränslösa Resor’s trek in Nepal and Tibet. The motivation reads:

“30% of Nepal’s women are illiterate. Gränslösa Resor tries to make a difference by training female mountain guides in a previously male-dominated world. Part of the revenue goes to local teahouses and guesthouses. The concept creates new points of contact and empowers local women.”
