Thinking green is a strong trend in the outdoor industry, and Vaude is jumping on the train with new products.

The main image shows the Grimsel Hooded Jacket with its dense knitted polyester material that’s said to be as wind-resistant as a softshell and as comfortable as a knitted sweater. The jacket is bluesign certified, one of the world’s strictest certifications for ecological products.

In addition to the Grimsel, there’s also the Zimba – a sweater in Polartec Power Dry that suits most activities and works excellently as a complement when your shell or softshell jacket is too warm. Zimba will be available in women’s and men’s sizes.

The Badile softshell pants are also made from ecological materials. The pants are well-suited for tougher mountain activities and are largely manufactured from bi-stretch Windproof 80.

All products are expected to launch in 2011 and are bluesign certified, one of the world’s strictest certifications for ecological products.
