Continued Strong Interest in Adventure
The Wilderness Fair and the Swedish Fly Fishing Fair 2011 were just as successful as the previous year, with 66,000 visitors across the trade shows.
The Wilderness Fair and the Swedish Fly Fishing Fair 2011, held between March 10-13, were just as successful as the previous year. From Thursday to Sunday, a total of 66,000 people visited the Stockholm Fair’s three public exhibitions: the Wilderness Fair, the Swedish Fly Fishing Fair, and the boat show Allt för Sjön.
The fairs featured several well-known faces, from famous adventure professionals like Ola Skinnarmo to more recent adventurers like Peter Siepen and Martin Stenmarck. The honorable distinction Adventurer of the Year was awarded to big game hunter Natascha Illum Berg and mountaineer Fredrik Sträng, while the Adventure of the Year scholarship was awarded to Emil Börner and Oscar Johansson, who departed for China straight from the fair.
