We continue our feature series from Granitbiten with more products from Cascade Designs.

Therm-a-Rest

Therm-a-Rest revolutionized the sleeping pad market when it was launched nearly 40 years ago, and the brand has since then consistently been at the forefront with its technical solutions. Next season sees a new version of the lightweight success NeoAir™ called NeoAir™ Trekker, which is 6.3 cm thick, slightly heavier, and doesn’t insulate quite as well. The Regular version weighs 540 grams and is 130 grams more than NeoAir™. The bestsellers TrailPro™ become slightly lighter next year, and Trail Lite™ gets better insulation. The foam pads RidgeRest™ get a new surface treatment that makes them both warmer and more durable.

Some of the accessories include the Fitted Sheet, which has been on the market for several years but is only now starting to make its way onto the Swedish market. The Fitted Sheet is a sheet that fastens to the sleeping pad for increased comfort against the skin when the sleeping bag doesn’t need to be closed. If that’s not enough, there’s the DreamTime™ Comfort Cover that fastens to the sleeping pad. DreamTime™ has a foam core that molds to the body and is perfect for car camping or when an extra bed is needed at home.

MSR
From MSR, the biggest news is in the accessories range. In a previous article here on I ♥ OUTDOOR, you can read about the Alpine Deluxe Kitchen Set and Alpine Kitchen Set and their many accessories. In the Fast & Light series, next season brings Quick™ Solo System, Quick Solo Pot, and Quick Skillet – a pot and frying pan in lightweight aluminum for one, maximum two people. The Solo System also includes a mug with lid. For the extremely durable water bag Dromedary Bag, a welcome addition arrives: a tap.

The stoves haven’t undergone any major updates, and the stalwarts Dragonfly and Whisperlite are of course still in the range. During the visit, we didn’t look at MSR’s tents. Under MSR, you’ll also find Packtowl, where some updates to the range have been made.
