Primus shares its Eco Cooking approach
Primus’s 2010 Eco Cooking information focused on fuel use during a stove’s lifetime and described its gas-emissions offset program.
Primus shared ideas on its website for reducing the environmental impact of outdoor cooking.
In its 2010 information, the company estimated that manufacturing accounted for only 10% of the total energy associated with an average stove used over a ten-year life. That placed much of the opportunity to reduce emissions and environmental impact in how the stove was used. Primus promoted its Eta range alongside its cooking guidance as ways to improve efficiency.

Primus also said it offset carbon dioxide emissions from gas it sold through rainforest replanting via Bauminvest. Participating gas canisters carried a green CO₂ logo. These were the program details reported in 2010.
