PrimaLoft jackets for cool spring and summer evenings
A 2012 look at Sail Racing’s Speed Liner Jacket and Helly Hansen’s Odin Isolator jacket and vest, all insulated with PrimaLoft.

These two PrimaLoft jackets from Helly Hansen and Sail Racing were designed to bring comfort, practicality and warmth to cool spring and summer adventures.
PrimaLoft is a soft, lightweight, breathable and water-repellent insulation used in outerwear, gloves, footwear and sleeping bags. Its patented microfiber structure traps body warmth, with different grades developed for particular outdoor and sporting needs.
PrimaLoft garments can serve as winter insulation beneath a shell, replacing a fleece, or as outer layers on their own. An insulated jacket or pair of pants can be useful beside a fire on a cold spring evening or during a chilly summer sail. The material also compresses well, taking up little space in a backpack on a hike or bike ride.
Sail Racing Speed Liner Jacket
Sail Racing makes technical clothing for use on the water as well as fashion influenced by the marine environment. The Speed Liner Jacket, pictured above, was a lightweight jacket with PrimaLoft ONE insulation and a flexible, lightweight outer fabric. It featured water-repellent zippers and Sail Racing embroidery. Men’s and women’s versions came in sizes XS–XXL. The 2012 price was SEK 2,500.
Helly Hansen Odin Isolator Jacket
With PrimaLoft SPORT insulation, the Odin Isolator Jacket could be worn under a shell such as the Odin Mountain Jacket or on its own. It was water-repellent, very light and easy to pack for travel or hiking. The range also included the Odin Isolator Vest.
- Odin Isolator Jacket: SEK 2,900.
- Odin Isolator Vest: SEK 2,200.
